Peace Corps 50th Anniversary Committees

Six committees have been charged by either U-M President Mary Sue Coleman, or by the Oversight Committee, with planning and implementing the semester-long Peace Corps 50th anniversary celebration. Those committees and their members are listed below.

Goal #1: Student Learning

Develop and implement creative educational opportunities within and throughout the extended classroom to foster student learning and development as culturally competent and globally engaged citizens.

Goal #2: Faculty Engagement

Create opportunities for educators to share their international and cross-cultural experiences, knowledge, and skills with students, educators, and the community, and engage in activities that contribute to their scholarship.

Leverage the 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps to showcase U-M's role in its creation and continuing success, and to demonstrate U-M's leadership in international education, civic engagement, and service to others worldwide.
