What were your main responsibilities as a volunteer?

Business Development on the use of computers and grant writing, as well as developing a Real Estate process.

Is there a specific person (or persons) who made a strong impression on you during that time?

My wife, Donna Winkelman served with me in Ukraine and has her story as she worked in a MBA granting institution in the City of Lviv, Ukraine.

What was one of the most memorable moments you had as a volunteer?

Helping to develop a Real Estate system for my oblast

In what ways did your Peace Corps experience affect your life and/or career decisions?

Didn't join until the end of my career

What advice would you give to others who are contemplating going into the Peace Corps?

Do it! It expands your knowledge of the complex world that we live in.

What is the value gained from the Peace Corps experience?

Understanding the world that we live in.

What lessons did you learn in the Peace Corps that you carry with you today?

The world is a lot larger than we are exposed to in this country.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

We were able to travel a lot in Eastern Europe and made life long friends from our associates in the Peace Corps.
